Strawberry Bag Forever
This bag was inspired by a vintage 1960’s purse Chris found years ago at a thrift store. We wanted the feel of a straw bag so we used hemp yarn but a linen yarn would also work nicely. We love the strawberries but you can leave them off and the bobbles will still keep the purse fun and interesting. We suggest going down to your local leather store to find some nice straps. We attached our straps with the hemp yarn so there is no need for special tools. For the strawberries you will need 50 yards each of a red and green cotton crochet thread or fingering weight yarn. Additional materials needed: button or magnetic purse closure, fabric for purse lining with matching embroidery floss, and stuffing for strawberries.
If you don’t want to go through all the trouble of finding your own materials we do sell this bag as a complete kit in our etsy store: https://www.etsy.com/listing/152334262/strawberry-purse-k...
