Strawberry Bucket Hat
The Strawberry Bucket Hat is an adorable bucket hat that will look equally good under the sun at a summer picnic or paired with your warmest sweater to cheer you up in the dead of winter.
This pattern is worked top down - beginning with a magic circle, you crochet the top of the hat, then the side walls, then the brim. The leaves and stem are crocheted separately and then attached to the completed body of the hat. Finally, the seeds are embroidered onto the sides of the hat.
There are two options for the brim - instructions are included for a straighter brim and for a wavier/ruffled brim. This way you can customize the look of your hat and make multiple versions! (Red sample shown with straighter brim option.)
In the appendix, you’ll find notes on adjusting the size of the hat and links to tutorials for any techniques you may be unfamiliar with, including the magic circle technique and my preferred method of creating invisible joins when crocheting in the round.
This pattern is written in AMERICAN crochet terminology.
Beginner friendly stitches are used but pattern does not include instructions on how to do every individual stitch.
