Pattern details
The hat is knitted in one peace and is then joined in the back. With knit and purl stitches, and yarn overs this is an intermediate difficulty pattern… but the instructions are very detailed!

Size options
While the pattern is only written for one set of stitches/rows, you can modify sizing by using thiсker yarn and larger needle size. The pattern includes suggested sizes for ages:

• 0-3 months
• 3-6 months

I am sure with chunky yarn you can achiever a bigger size, closer to 9-12 months!

Yarn suggestions
You won’t need a lot of yarn for this project; mostly for a pom-pom! Suggested colors for the hat are cream and brown to create a cake appearance, but you are welcome to vary them for a different look (red and pink for red velvet cake)!

ALWAYS CHECK how the hat fits your baby and make sure it can not cover the eyes and the nose! The sizes are suggested but all babies are different!
