You don’t have to be a foodie to love this scarf. It’s fun to make and delicious to look at!
This pattern was taught by certified instructors of the Craft Yarn Council’s Discover Knit & Crochet Classes at Michaels stores between October and December 2014.
Finished Measurements
Scarf is approx. 5” (13 cm) x 68” (2 cm).
Each cake slice is approx. 5” (13 cm) x 4 1/2” (11.5 cm)

Yarn for Strawberry Cake Slices:
- 1 skein Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice - Pink
- 2 skeins Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice - White
Yarn for Strawberries:
- 1 skein Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice - Scarlet
- 1 skein Caron Simply Soft - Limelight
Optional yarn colors
Yarn for Chocolate Cake Slice:
- 1 skein Red Heart Super Saver - Coffee
- 1 or 2 skeins Red Hear Super Saver - Pale Yellow
Yarn for Blue Cake Slice:
- 1 skein Lily Sugar ‘n Cream - Hot Blue
- 1 or 2 skeins Lily Sugar ‘n Cream - White
Gauge:
Perfect gauge is not essential for this project, since you can keep adding cake slices until your scarf is the desired length, but here is Twinkie Chan’s gauge: Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice: 16 sc x 16 rows = 4” x 4” (10 cm x 10 cm); Caron Simply Soft: 19 chs = 4” (10 cm)
