This classic but cute little handbag is the result of my experiments with felting fair isle patterns. I noticed that fair isle made a smaller and denser fabric when felted, and the idea of a handbag with an all over color pattern intrigued me. I have always wanted to try a houndstooth pattern, but opted for other than the classic neutral colors. This color combination reminds me of the strawberry crème filling of chocolates. Mmmm…

I used one skein each of Dark Maroon, and Pink, and there is a chart for the houndstooth pattern. This pattern uses a magnetic purse snap as a closure. You can find them in fabric stores, and online
