Strawberry doll
I’d like to present you a pattern for knitted doll Mary. Strawberry girl. Instructions for making the doll with sculpted face. The pattern is written for knitting flat on two needles and the toy should be seamed afterwards. The pattern includes: the process of knitting a doll, making a face, hair design, clothes making: dress, hat, brooch and shoes. The pattern is available in English. Printed paper versions are not produced, and a mail order service is not possible. Once downloaded and saved, the patterns can be printed out on ordinary copy paper. You can read from and carry your knitting pattern on your mobile device or print it at home yourself. The pattern has been tested. Do not hesitate to contact me for any questions by message on Etsy.
This is a PDF file with detailed instructions. The pattern is 18 pages long and has more than 109 pictures to help you.
THE PATTERN INCLUDES: Row numbers for each step so you don’t lose your place, instructions for making the doll with sculpted face, photos, a list of abbreviations and explanation of some techniques, a materials list and recommended yarns. The dress, hat and shoes can be taken off.
It is designed for intermediate to advanced skill level.
FINISHED TOY DETAILS If you are using the materials I am suggesting the final size of the toy is going to be approximately 32 cm from head to toe (12.6”) and approximately 21 cm (8.3”) when seated. She can sit without support. She has bending arms and knees. Please note that you can use any yarn color. The materials suggested in this pattern will help you create the doll that will be identical to the one in the photos. You can use any other yarn you find suitable - Doll can come taller or smaller but still a lot of fun to knit and to become friends with. I recommend using needles a size or two smaller than the yarn calls for, to produce a firm fabric.
MATERIALS AND TOOLS you will need:
You can use acrylic yarn. The thicker yarn you use, the bigger toy you will get.
