Please check my other similar bag pattern before purchasing.The difference is on the base. The base of this bag is round, the other bag base is oval.

Finished Size: 3 x 4 x 12 inches

This pattern is using US crochet term.

If using DK yarns, you need 3 x 100g/155 yards of red (main color), 2 x 100g of turquoise and cream for base and leaves.

Make the bag larger or smaller by adding or reducing the pattern repeat. You could also make the straps shorter for a tote. Use your creativity with the color scheme as you like.

In this pattern I used two strands of yarn crocheted together to provide strength. But you can also use size 3 (light worsted yarn) 155 m each. You will need 6 balls minimum and I always suggest to get one extra to be safe.

The lower picture in red and green by LaPool uses about 8-9 balls of yarn of the same size since she made it bigger and the strap shorter.

The 3-page pattern is easy to follow complete with 11 colorful photographs to guide you in crocheting it round by round until you see it evolve into a pretty strawberry bag.

The strap is crocheted in such away to avoid stretching, and the bag is thick and strong enough without lining. The cord is made using simple slip stitches as clearly explained in the pattern. The strawberry dangles can be made in two ways, the quick and easy and a little more fancy in less then an hour using single crochet stitches. Patterns for both types of strawberry dangles is included.
