The Strawberry Garden Baby Blanket is based on components of traditional Fair Isle designs. It is knitted on a circular needle as a single colourwork panel with a crochet edge recommended.

To complete this project, you will need approximately 350gm of 8-ply yarn (720m), comprising:

• about 175gm of the detail colour and
• about 175gm of the background colour

The project can also be made using other yarn and needles.

The pattern includes charts for all 26 letters of the English alphabet.

The finished size should be approximately 67 x 77cm.

If you are knitting the pattern in wool, you should consider knitting it in the round and then steeking the join. If you are knitting in cotton, DO NOT KNIT IN THE ROUND AND STEEK. Cotton fibres do not felt together like wool fibres do, meaning the edges will not be secured.
