Strawberry Granny Square Bag
This Crochet pattern will guide you on how to create a super cute kawaii / cottagecore pink granny square crossbody / shoulder bag, adorned with strawberry motifs and scallop/shell edging, with optional touches such as beading, buttons and lining. The finished bag measures approx 24 inch x 8 inch, making it the perfect size to fit everyday items such as phone, keys and purse. This pattern is fully customizable in terms of colour and any granny square can be used, aslong as it is 4 x 4 inches.
Pattern is written in English using US terms & includes process photos and measurements along the way.
Level: intermediate - you will need an understanding of magic rings/circles and assembling multiple pieces to complete this. Also includes sewing of lining but this is optional.
Materials for this pattern include:
-Aran / worsted/ 4 weight yarn in Pink, Green, Red and White
-4.5mm + 4mm Hook
-Sewing/Tapestry needle
-Two D rings
-Stitch markers
-Scissors
For the creation of this pattern I used:
-Stylecraft Special Aran in Meadow <20 Grams
-Stylecraft Special Aran White 50 Grams
-Stylecraft Special DK (doubled up to make aran weight) in Candyfloss 150 Grams
which has a gauge of 18 stitches and 24 rows for a 10x10cm tension square using 5mm needles
Optional materials:
-Two Snap Buttons
-Blocking Equipment
-Small beads or yarn for strawberry seed detail
-Thread if adding beads
-Material for lining (requires sewing machine or hand sewing)
