This is a variation of a Strawberry Hat design. I added the earflaps and shaped myself the leaves pattern. It stays on my daughter’s head beautifully.

I used King Cole Anti-Tickle Merino DK as it is soft enough for the delicate skin of a baby.

There are two sizes in this pattern: for 6-12 months and 12-18 months olds.

You’ll need 3mm (US2.5) circular needles and a hook to crochet the ties. Also find some scrap white yarn to add seeds.

My knitting is quite loose, you might need larger needles. Check your gauge before starting.
