These cozy strawberry mittens are bursting with bright colorwork that will keep you warm through the winter, with (optional) holes for your thumb and index finger for easy phone use.

The mittens are knitted from cuff to fingertips with a twisted rib cuff, colorwork around the hand, separate thumb section, and (optional) holes for thumb and index finger. The pattern is suitable for low-intermediate level knitters.

Materials

Needles:

  • 3.5 mm (US 4) circular needles for ribbing
  • 4 mm (US 6) circular needles for colorwork/stockinette

Note on technique: This pattern was designed to be knitted in the round on 80 cm circular needles using the magic loop technique and instructions are written accordingly, but feel free to adjust for DPNs if that is your preference.

Yarn:

This pattern can be made using any DK weight yarn and requires the following quantities.

  • White: 40 g / 107 m / 117 yds (56 g / 149 m / 163 yds)
  • Red: 13 g / 35 m / 38 yds (18 g / 48 m / 53 yds)
  • Green: 5 g / 14 m / 16 yds (6 g / 16 m / 18 yds)
