Meet the Strawberry Twist Socks! Made with a worsted weight yarn, these cozy socks are perfect for cooler weather, and their lace detail makes them a charming addition to any outfit!

The pattern uses a simple lace cable repeat (with instructions given for a faux cable alternative) as well as German Short Rows for the heel. The pattern for the cable repeat is provided in both chart and written form. Because the socks require only one cable stitch, they make an approachable introduction to cable knitting.

The pattern for the Strawberry Twist Socks is written for 3 sizes (S, M, and L) based on US women’s shoes sizes 4 - 6 ½ (7 - 9 ½, 10 - 12 ½) or men’s sizes 2 - 4 ½ (5 - 7 ½, 8 - 10 ½).

The Strawberry Twist Socks pattern is also written with instructions for two different sole styles: a stockinette sole and a textured sole (both pictured above), which continues the lace pattern across the bottom of the sock. Aside from their stylistic differences, the stockinette sole tends to be more flexible due to the stretchier nature of stockinette stitch compared to the cable pattern, and the stockinette Strawberry Twist Socks are better suited to being worn with shoes. The textured sole version tends to be less slippery and is more ideal for around-the-house wear.
