streger
Streger is a pullover worked top-down with saddle shoulders and either short or long sleeves and worked with or without colorwork and stripes.
I have been asked kindly several times if I will design a more fitted pullover with either saddle shoulders or contiguous set-in sleeves….and colorwork, and no mohair, please! This pullover may satisfy some of those wishes
The colorwork is inspired by a Danish song for children: “Vil du, vil du” where you are supposed to draw 30 dashes at a whiteboard while getting the rhythm/beat in the song. Streger = dashes/lines.
Vil du, vil du = will you, will you……
Sizes
The bust measurement of the finished pullover: 84 (90, 98, 108) (116, 128, 136) cm / 33 (35.5, 38.5, 42.5) (45.75, 50.5, 53.5)“ corresponding to sizes 0 (1, 2, 3) (4, 5, 6) in the instructions.
Choose a size with approx. 0-10 cm/0-4” positive ease at bust. If you are in between sizes and have narrow shoulders, choose the smaller size, and work optional increases on the body.
Gauge
20 sts x 28 rows/rounds = 10cm x 10cm/4” x 4”: in stockinette stitch on needle 4.0 mm/US 6 or the size needed to obtain gauge after wet blocking.
22 sts x 30 rows/rounds = 10cm x 10cm/4” x 4”: in rib (2x2 rib: knit 1 through back loop, knit 1 through back loop, purl 2) on needle 3.5 mm/US 4 or the size needed to obtain gauge
