Strellacott Sweater
The Strellcott Sweater was designed for my husband, who wanted a simple, vanilla sweater he could wear over a dress shirt for work. Featuring classic stockinette and a folded collar for a sophisticated touch, this sweater reflects the steadiness and comforting presence of the man who inspired it. Matt named the Strellacott Sweater after his favorite literary duo, making it the perfect sweater to knit up in pairs for you and your other half. Although simple, my heart is poured into this design with deep affection for the man who helped design it. It is my hope that you will knit each stitch with the same intentionality and care that went into designing it. Whether you knit your Strellacott Sweater for yourself or a loved one, I hope your recipient feels the love that went into creating it.
The Strellacott Sweater is worked in the round by first casting on stitches for the upper back. Stitches are then picked up along the shoulders to form the front panels and V-neck before joining both sides to work in the round. The sleeves are then picked up and worked in the round before finishing off by picking up and working stitches for the neckband.
Note: your gauge swatch should be worked in the round.
