Strength
Strength … No one knows how long we have to fight against COVID-19, so let’s toughen ourselves up both physically and mentally.
Strength (the pattern) is a simple ONE COLOR Brioche which is the same as my other one color brioche knitting design. NO brp stitches. Plain color yarns are not the only choices, self-stripping yarns can add a bunch of colors to your projects. Besides, I cut out a particular length of yarn for edging.
In this pattern, I am using pyop (purl yarn over purl) as the main increase method instead of knitting brkyobrk at the wrong side. Both methods have same outlook but pyop helps simplifying the pattern in words. Besides, large quantity of brLX & brRX stitches in PART E allows you to practise the Crossing Over stitches of Brioche Knitting.
Basic Skills Required: knit, purl, brk, sl1yo, brkyobrk, br4st inc / dec, brLsl & brRsl dec, brLX & brRX and Garter Stitch Cast On
Special THANKS to Nancy Marchant, Queen of Brioche Knitting, for the guidance on brLX and brRX.
Last but not least, I would like to extend my gratitude to all the healthcare workers and medical professionals for what they’ve done, and I pray for everyone, especially those who adhere to the stay-at-home advice during this crucial period of time.
If you are going to knit something for your family, friends, or relatives who are contributing in fighting against COVID-19, please leave a comment or send me a message via Ravelry mail and I will send my “Strength” as a gift to say THANK YOU!
