As a child my mother made me something similar in fabric and I loved that I could pull on the arms and legs and watch them stretch and contract. In a desire to amuse a great nephew I came up with this crochet version and he seems to enjoy it as much as I did.

This is a fairly simple make, mostly rounds of various sizes, so it could be tackled by an adventurous beginner.

Please note that I use English crochet terms.

As this is a toy, gauge is not important.

To make this an eye-catching toy I raided my leftovers and used a range of the bright colours that took my fancy.
