Stretchy Ribbed Newborn Hat - In the Round
by Sandy Davis
This pattern was designed to copy a favorite baby hat in the NICU area of Carolinas Medical Center Union, in Monroe, North Carolina. The hat is very stretchy and easy for the nurses to use for babies of different sizes.
I used Bernat Baby Coordinates Sweet Stripes yarn, so the hat would have pretty stripes. Any soft DK yarn will work well.
When I weigh a finished hat on a postal scale, it weighs 0.7 of an ounce (about 20 grams). This should help in deciding how much yarn you need.
