The Streymoy Socks are worked top down, from cuff to toe, in textured pattern with a special heel construction: Increases are worked centrally on the back of the leg to create a stocking-stitched triangle; the heel turn is then worked with a few short rows, after which decreases are worked at either side of the sole stitches.
The foot is worked in textured pattern and stocking stitch, and the toe in stocking stitch with decreases.
