Strikingly Striped Socks
I wanted a strong vertical design in a sock that didn’t involve the trickery of turning the construction sideways, was easy to memorize, and could be resized to fit a lot of different feet without too much trouble.
This is a great pattern for working on your stranded color work techniques or to serve as a more portable palate cleanser if you’ve been working on complicated stranded work. The stripe repeat is easy to memorize and can be used to combine and showcase an endless possibility of sock-weight yarns.
Sized for the whole family, these socks make a great gift and are a quick and fun knit. Work them up in your favorite team’s colors, go subtle with two shades of the same color, or tame a crazy variegated yarn by pairing it with a suitable solid.
