I wanted a string toy for my new cat, but couldn’t seem to find one with a working link on Ravelry, So I made up my own pattern, I typed it up for future reference and then decided to go ahead and add it to Ravelry, just in case anyone else might be searching for an easy to crochet cat toy as well.
I used a 3.5mm hook
Any yarn will do. I used some scrap wool yarn that I had set back, because it was too scratchy for any normal project.
I’m not 100% sure how many yards were used, but it was not a lot.
You will also need some form of stick, I used a wooden craft dowel. Sticks from outside, pencils, old chopsticks are all possible ideas.
