A simple and stylish unisex hat with a lot of stretch! The perfect visual complement to the Colorblock Hat, requiring only knits, purls and decreases.

Finished measurements (blocked, unstretched): 15” circumference, 8.25” tall

Gauge (blocked): 23 sts x 27 rounds in pattern stitch = 4 inches

Materials needed:

  • 1 hank Cascade 220 or Woolpaka (220 yards/100 grams) Size US 6 & 7 needles (16” circular) Size US 7 double point needles Stitch marker Darning needle

Note: The stitch pattern of this hat lends a great deal of flexibility and stretch to the fabric, allowing an otherwise snug beanie at this gauge to stretch to fit a head circumference of 23”. If you need to change the size, add or subtract multiples of 8 sts when casting on. This hat may also be worked using the Magic Loop or Two Circulars methods of working in the round.
