Stripe Domination
In stranded knitting, the relative position of the carried floats creates a phenomenon of yarn dominance. You can use that phenomenon, dominate it, if you will, to create magical striping without changing yarns. Enjoy knitting this simple, yet intriguing, hat as you learn the ins and outs of this technique.
The gauge specified in the pattern description is for Kenzie by Hikoo. The pattern includes separate instructions for two additional gauges, one for each of the other suggested yarns. Each specific yarn only requires 2 or 3 needle sizes. For example, the sample in Kenzie by Skacel yarn used 2.75 and 3.5 mm needles (your gauge may vary).
Note that the Adult L hat may require a second skein of the main color when knit in Kenzie.
The pattern not only includes instructions for using various weight yarns to create this interesting hat, but also includes tips and techniques related to yarn dominance that will improve all of your stranded knitting.
