Stripe Ed Cowl
This pattern was inspired by an out of stock Madewell cowl I saw some time ago and my daughter, who is just learning to knit. It is an easy pattern for a beginner, while still offering a few challenging techniques in small doses.
The cowl is knit in bulky yarn with contrasting stripes. (I used two strands of worsted held together for my main color.) Using a provisional cast on, it is then knit in the round with alternating stockinette and reverse stockinette sections. Once completed, the ends are then grafted together to form one big wrap/ cowl that may be worn in different ways.
