Stripeathy
I LOVE stripes! I wanted a t-shirt pattern using the wonderful Hempathy yarn and I wanted a “flat saddle” not a slanted saddle which is most common with saddle construction. (The front and back stitches are picked up while creating the saddle which makes the saddle slant from high at the neck to low at the sleeve.). This pattern starts with two complete saddles, cast on stitches to connect them and picked up stitches for the front and back of the sweater. This saddle shoulder lays flat. There are short rows on the upper back to make the sweater lay well around the neckline and scoop neck or crew neck options.
NEEDLES: Size US 4/3.5mm, 16”/40cm and 24”/60cm circular, a second US 4/3.5mm or DPN and US 3/3.25mm for ribbing. Sleeves: use your preferred method of working small circumferences in the round.
GAUGE: 24 sts and 30 rows = 4”/10cm in stockinette.
SIZES: S-36”/91cm (M-38”/96.5cm, L-40”/101.5cm, XL-44”/112cm, 2XL-48”/122cm, 3XL-52”/132cm)
