striped children's hat
This is an easy stranded children’s cap knitted bottom up. (The coloured stripes include some simple one colour stockinette rows and the multicolour rows only use two colours (alternating every other stitch), so it is very suitable for beginners of colourwork).
The size can easily be adapted as long as you use a stitch number that can be diveded by 4 (or 2 if you change the ribbing from knit 2 purl 2 to knit 1 purl1).
I knitted the cap in cotton (sport/ 5 ply/12wpi), but any other material is fine, too.
You need one skein in your main colour and left overs in two other colours.
Corrections - language or knittingwise are welcome.
