With the weather turning colder I decided to make myself a lapghan for myself to cover my legs when I am at the computer and this Striped Crochet Blanket Pattern was so easy to make!
It’s rare I make anything for myself so I wanted it to be special. I played around with yarn trying different stitch combinations until I found something I liked. I hope you like it too.
For this project you’ll need:
HOOK: 5 mm hook or size H hook for the US
YARN: I used worsted weight yarn, 4 ply US, 10 ply AU
Each Skein was – 100 grams / 3.5. oz or 210 meters / 230 yards
Amount of skeins in each color that I used:
4 Off white
3 blue
3 tan
Size of my lapghan:
55 in / 139 cms in length
40 in / 102 cms wide
ABBREVIATIONS used in the pattern
ch = Chain
sl st = Slip Stitch
beg = beginning
sk a st = skip a stitch
DC = Double Crochet
DCFS = Double Crochet Foundation Stitch
DFPC= Double Front Post Cluster
The multiples of the stitch is given so you can make your afghan wider if you like.
