This doodle was designed with the beginner knitter in mind. If you’re new to colorwork or want to see what it’s like to “design” your own cowl, this is a great way to dive in! Set up as a series of simple striped or dotted mini charts, this choose your knit-venture pattern is sure to provide lots of fun!

The Striped Doodle is a series of mini stranded colorwork motifs for an infinity cowl. Knit using at least 3 skeins of DK weight yarn, this pattern lends itself to both simple, color blocking palettes, or using up coordinating colors of leftovers, stash, or yarn scraps!

The pattern is knit in the round using circular needles. A provisional cast on and Kitchener stitch create a seamless finish.

Stranded colorwork in the round, reading charts, catching long floats, provisional cast on, and Kitchener stitch.
