This is a crochet Easter egg pattern. It was written using standard US terminology.
APPROXIMATE SIZE OF THE FINISHED ITEMS:
Small egg: 5.75” (14.6 cm) circumference, and 2” (5 cm) tall.
Larger egg: 6.75” (17 cm) circumference, and 3” (7.6 cm) tall.
YARN:
I used Medium weight 100% cotton yarn.
Here are the approximate amounts of yarn you will need.
Small egg: 0.31 oz (9 g), 17 yds (16 m).
Larger egg: 0.47 oz (13.5 g), 25 yds (23 m).
For the stripes: a small amount, approx. 1.2 yard for each stripe.
MATERIALS AND TOOLS:
3.5 mm (US E) crochet hook
Stitch marker
Tapestry needle
Stuffing fiber, such as fiberfill
Stuffing tool, such as a craft dowel
Gauge:
The diameter of a swatch of 6 rounds will be approximately 2” (5 cm).
Gauge swatch pattern:
Rnd1: sc 6 in a mc
Rnd2: (inc) 6 times 12
Rnd3: (inc, sc) 6 times 18
Rnd4: (inc, sc in next 2 sts) 6 times 24
Rnd5: (inc, sc in next 3 sts) 6 times 30
Rnd6: (inc, sc in next 4 sts) 6 times 36

LEVEL OF DIFFICULTY: Intermediate.
Basic skills needed: magic circle, single crochet, single crochet increase, single crochet decrease, fasten off, weave in ends, stuffing with fiberfill. I DO NOT OFFER VIDEO TUTORIALS FOR MY PATTERNS.
