Recommended crochet skill level is intermediate / advanced, and this pattern will require knowledge / familiarization with color changes, double crochet, increasing, decreasing, and either already familiar with or ability to learn how to make front post and back post double crochets.

Gauge swatch using Red Heart Metallic yarn & size G/4.5mm crochet hook: 4 x 4 inches = 16 DC x 9 rows

This pattern is worked in the round. If using the recommended yarn and hook size, the finished dimensions of the hat will be approximately 30 inches tall (33 with the pompom), 9 inches wide at the bottom, and 18-20 inches around the inside (the brim will have some stretch).
