Striped Jumper
“Notice how the sensational fit of this knitted fashion is achieved through the clever use of ribbed patterns. Different colored bands done in a wide ribbing add interesting detail to the midriff section of this smart jumper.”
This pattern calls for one ball (135 yds.) each of the three contrast colors, and (7, 8, 10) balls of the main color.
This jumper or (if shortened) vest uses colorwork to create a flattering obi look. The main background color is dark green. The stripes at the waistline are light turquoise, light green, bright red (right at the waistline), light green again, and light turquoise again. The garment is also subtly ribbed, in a p1, k10 pattern, and has a round scoop neck and waist shaping. The full jumper is knee-length, but a vest beginning with the colorwork section would be approximately hipbone length.
