Striped Knitted Vest pattern can easily be adapted to either stripes or plain. The pattern is written in rows as well as providing a chart you can print out to keep your own row count

Knitted on circular needle from hem up to armholes, the back, left and right front are finished separately, shoulder seams are joined, armholes worked on circular or dpns, the neck worked back and forth

All my test knits use Skeinz Highlander Heathers 8ply/DK 100% Wool 100g Balls (200m approx. per ball) or
Skeinz Southlander 8ply/DK 100% Wool 100g Balls (200m approx. per ball)
You can use any 8ply/DK yarn however, my pattern has been written based on the yarns specified and test knits done in those yarns

Size 6-12 mths uses 165y/150m to fit chest 24cm & length 30cm
Size 12-18 mths uses 197y/180m to fit chest 27cm & length 33cm
Size 18-24 mths uses 219y/200m to fit chest 29cm & length 36cm
Size 2-3 yrs uses 274y/250m to fit chest 31cm & length 39cm

Great way to use up odd balls and scrapes

You will need a 40cm & 80cm circular needle. The 80cm is only used to knit back and forth for the neck border
