A fun, stashbuster project to use up left over yarn. Gauge and yarn quantity are approximate to allow for the variation in yarn textures/properties.

Instructions are not given for when to change colour as that is up to you and dependant on what you have in your stash. Make it up as you go or plan what colours you’ll use beforehand. Or, of course, you can knit a single colour hat!

The hats in the photos are knit with 100% wool and the finished hat weighs 60g. Other yarns might weigh more or less, but the meterage should be more or less the same.

I have used both 5mm and 5.5mm needles for these hats. Obviously, 5.5mm gives a looser, slouchier result.
