Striped Poncho
Striped Poncho
Worked in one piece this versatile accessory is easy to knit and style. This poncho is worked flat, with the simplicity of eyelet stitches and stripes doing all the work. Seaming is used to join the piece at the shoulders and would make a good step into larger scale knitting for those ready to explore beyond accessories. The stripes also make an ideal canvas for exploring the colours available in Luma. Instructions are also provided for creating a scarf.

Foundations: The first wobbly scarf you knit and knotted proudly around your neck to keep out the cold. The handmade mittens you wore as a child, a gift from a beloved relative. When we think about the hours spent making those items, we understand that they are an act of love. It’s the time you set aside for your own creativity that day. It’s the way you felt as your beloved pulled on your hat as they left for work that day. Each stitch, a hidden wish. The gift of handmade is at the core of our latest series of design collections. We named it ‘Foundations’ because these are the building blocks for a lifelong hobby in which we can clothe ourselves and our loved ones in beautiful colours and texture.
