Striped Pony Hoodie
A pony-eared hoodie that’s close-fitting, smooth and knitted in one piece (even the ears). The shoulders and body are gently shaped to suit a child’s body, and to make that gloriously enormous hood sit comfortably. The hood is plenty big enough to be a pony disguise, or flop around like a cape, however you prefer to wear it.
This is a downloadable pdf of a knitting pattern in sizes 2-4 years, 4-6 years and 6-8 years.
It’s aimed at advanced knitters. You need to know how to:
- Increase and decrease stitches;
- Work with different colours;
- Pick up and work stitches;
- Use stitch markers;
- Use Magic Loop technique with a circular needle;
- Either graft using Kitchener stitch or do 3-needle cast-off or cast-off conventionally and seam up afterwards.
