I created some basic prayer shawl patterns for my Prayer Shawl Ministry at my church. This pattern uses up all the leftover yarn that accumulates or is donated to the Church.

I used one strand of Lion Brand Homespun and then made alternating stripes by holding 2 strands together of worsted weight yarn. There is a seed stitch border all around the prayer shawl. It’s very quick and easy.

There is no gauge on this prayer shawl. Final dimensions for adult prayer shawls should be approximately 2’ by 5’
