The largest portion of the body of this hat is constructed of 5DC shells, centered around an adjustable magic ring. The shell piece is surrounded by SC stripes that taper down to a ribbed brim. The brim itself is either knitted ribbing or crochet ribbing, instructions are provided for both.

Gauge for a knitted brim is 4 stitches per inch,
worked in ribbing on US size 8 dpns or 16” US size 8 circulars.

Two colorways were used, both Knitpicks.com City Tweed DK:

Master Color = Approx 190 yds of Kitten (two 123 yd balls)
Contrasting Color = Approx 62 yds of Brocade (one 123 yd ball)
