The point-down triangle centered across the front of my Striped Wedge Pullover symbolizes strength, endurance, and all things feminine. Formed out of a break in the stripe pattern, the triangle emerges as if once nestled among the growth rings of an ancient tree: clear, unwavering and resoundingly present.

I designed the sweater to be worked from side to side in garter stitch, with an interlude of short rows on the front to form the triangle. Created in Purl Soho’s Linen Quill (which has impressive yardage and is available in a stunning palette), the sweater has a comfortable, flattering silhouette that helps make it as pleasurable and easy to wear as it is to knit.

I am pleased and proud to present the Striped Wedge Pullover as the first pattern for Frog & Cast, and am grateful for new ventures and many more patterns ahead.
