Stripes and More
Do you love self-striping sock yarn, but want a change from knitting socks? This shawl is for you!
The pattern starts with the panel of self-striping yarn, and then you pick up along a slipped stitch edge to knit the main body of the shawl perpendicular to the first panel! The first panel will use about half the self striping yarn and the rest of the skein is used for the micro stripes in the rest of the shawl.
The sample used approximately 335m of the 390m of self-striping yarn, and 295m of the 390m of tonal yarn.
Final dimensions blocked are 58” across the top and 21” deep, with the bottom ‘point’ (flat bottom) being slightly off centre towards the striped panel side.
