Stripes and Peaks
Stripes and Peaks is a fun DK weight shawl that mixes colours and textures. It is knit end to end, so the rows seem to just fly by!
The gradual increase of one stitch every four rows (and similar decreases on the second half) result in a long, narrow shawl that is perfect for tossing around your neck without being too bulky.
Finished dimensions after blocking: 86” wingspan, and 14” deep at the centre.
The pattern was designed to use one 100g (250yd) main colour with three 20g (50yd) mini-skeins. The kits from Stitch Noir have three skein gradients for the minis with a complementing main.
The tassels shown on the sample used approximately 4g each, and can be included or not based on your personal preference.
This pattern is beginner friendly, includes written instructions and row counter charts. Techniques required: knit, purl, yarn over, knit front and back.
