Stripes For a Young Man
This pattern is
available for free.
STRIPES FOR A YOUNG MAN. Or a Plain Pullover for the Older Generation.
WITH winter only a few months ahead, it is time to think of making a long-sleeved pull-over for the man of the family. Big sons will probably like this one, with its broad contrasting stripes, but fathers might prefer a plain navy, grey, or brown pull-over. By omitting the lighter colour and substituting the same quantity of the darker wool, father, too, can be satisfied.
MATERIALS : 13oz 4-ply wool, navy blue; 3oz 4-ply wool, white; 2 No. 10 needles; 4 No. 13 needles, pointed both ends.
MEASUREMENTS: Chest, 38 inches; length to underarm seam, 14½ inches; sleeve at underarm seam, 23 inches.
