Stripey baby legwarmers
I loved making these legwarmers for my baby girl. They also make a great shower gift for new-mom friends, and they’re easy for beginners to knit.
The basic pattern is for a newborn (0-3 months) size, but there are also instructions for a medium (3-6 months) and large (6-12 months) size. I give the pattern for the stripe sequence, but you could also make these in solid colors.
The yarn I used is machine washable. It is quite fuzzy and will fuzz more if you wash it.
Sadly, this yarn has been discontinued, but you can substitute another fuzzy yarn or a bulky-weight yarn. I noticed that Lion Brand brought back this yarn as a special promotion, so you may be able to find it at times.
I knit these flat and seam up the sides, but you could also make them seamless on DPNs or use a magic loop.
