Use Tinker Creek Handknits’ Striped Bun Hat Knitting Pattern to make trendy, striped knit bun hats for children and adults…in many different color combinations! It’s hard to make just one of these, once you begin experimenting with the endless possibilites of triad color combinations.

And you are definitely “on trend” with this pattern- bun hole hats are sure to please any bun-wearing girl you know, as well as teens and adults. Sizes are provided for all three.

The pattern is suited to a beginner knitter, with tips and links to tutorials. Both written instructions and a chart are provided.

The hat is worked in the round from the bottom up, starting at the brim with ribbing. The body is worked in 3 different colors of stripes. You’ll decrease at the top for the crown…but you’ll bind off earlier than usual in order to creat a 4” bun hole at the top.

I used Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick and Quick Yarn as well as Loops and Threads Cozy Wool to create the color combinations in the photographs.

Information on the the colorways used to create 4 different color combinations is provided. And I’m happy to provide pattern support…just contact me!
