Stripped Slouchy
This fun stripy hat can have a multitude of looks depending on the color combinations of Noro Kureyon and Rowan Lima. Very soft & comfy. Usually I can’t wear a Kureyon hat but the Lima keeps it soft enough for me.
The band is knit sideways in garter stitch stripes. The band gets joined and the work is then picked up along one edge of the band and knitted in the round, striping every three rows. Swirl decreases are knitted on DPs.
The whole hat can be knitted on DP, or you can switch to 16” circs after the band, and switch back to DPs for the crown.
You can use a provisional cast-on and graft the band for a professional look.
The hat can be made even bigger and/or slouchier, as I had leftover yarn.
