It might look knit at first glance but this stocking is 100% CROCHET!

Using a waistcoat stitch is what gives us this mock knit look.

I have made up 2 of these so far and I can get 2 full stockings out of a skein. Of course I used 2 colors so I had about 1/2 of each skein left (used the same skein of red in both stockings but different skeins for contrasting colors).
