Knitting Pattern Strips and Squares /Hat and Cowl.

These hat and cowl would be great for a chilly fall day. Very comfortable and warm. The pattern is made to knit in the round. Only basic skills are required.

Skill level: INTERMEDIATE
Finished measurements : Hat 1-3 years – 19 ½ inches/ 50 cm;
3-10 years – 20 ½ inches/ 52 cm;
Teen – Adult – 22 inches/ 56 cm;
Adult Men – 23,5 inches / 60 cm.
Cowl Sizes : M/L
Circumference: 21/ 24 inches (53/61 cm);
Height from top to bottom edge: 6,3/8 ½ inches, (16/22 cm)

Materials:
 Approx. 295/437/546 yards (270/ 400/500 m). - any DK/3 light/ 8 ply weight yarn.
 Marker stitch.
 Circular Needles US 4 ( 3,5 mm or 3,75 mm) ,
Circular Needles US 2 ( 2,5 mm ).
Circular Needles US 3 ( 2,75 mm or 3,00 mm).
Optional: 5 double pointed needles US 4, to knit the crown of the hat.
