This textured scarf was designed to be made with WildWestDyes’ fingering weight pure merino wool.

Three colours, stockinette/ reverse stockinette bias knit scarf and uses WildWestDyes’ fake icord edging technique. The pattern mentions ‘RS’ (right side) and ‘WS’ (wrong side) but both sides look good, I use this terminology only for ease of following instructions.

You start with a single stitch and increase either end to create the corner, then you start increasing one edge and reducing the other to create the diagonal line bias knit scarf.
To help with the flow of creating, in the body of the pattern (as in not the 3 stitch border) on knit rows you are increasing or decreasing, on purl rows you are not.

As well as knowing the standard knitting stitches, you will need to know, or learn the following techniques.

• Kfbf - Knit front, back, front
• Kfb - Knit front & back
• Pfb - Purl front & knit back
• Kfp - Knit front & purl back
• K2tog, K3tog, ssk & p2tog

YouTube videos for the above techniques are available here. Links are included in the pattern.
