My very own simple, yet satisfying and effective, snood / cowl / neckwarmer pattern.

This is an easy level crochet pattern but you do need to know how to crochet in the round.

This pattern is as clear and straightforward as I could make it, thanks largely to my fantastic pattern testers! I’ve written it in both UK and US crochet terms.

I used Stylecraft Special DK for my snoods, but any dk weight will work well. I think the nearest US equivalent would be worsted weight for this pattern.

Skills needed: US double crochet (dc)/UK treble crochet (tr), crocheting in the round, yarn changing, slip stich (sl st).

Yarn and equipment needed:
• Two colours of dk yarn (yarn A and yarn B)
(approx. 50grams of each for a 25 row snood, measuring approx. 27cm x 27cm when laid flat)
• 4mm crochet hook
• Yarn needle
• Stitch markers (optional but recommended)
• Scissors
