This warm and cozy cowl takes its strong lines and texture from the log barricades that once protected castles. Its squishy texture will defend you from the cold. Stronghold is a wide chunky cowl worked from the bottom up in the round. The bumps are created by working several rounds of purl followed by a few rounds of knit. The vertical “beams” are created by slipped stitches. The purl ridges are meant to curl in on themselves, making this cowl extra thick and warm.
