Top Down with Heel Flap
Toe Up with Short Row Heel
ERATTA: The stitch count for the large size in the toe-up version should be 72, not 76.
The zig zag stitches of this pattern wave across the socks like the flared tail feathers of a strutting peacock. The constant cabling does create a less stretchy sock. I recommend going up a size if you would like some slack.
