If we had to pick one crochet stitch to be a jewel, it would be a Shell Stitch hands down

The Studded Shells Hat is .. exactly that: a crochet hat studded with shells! The pattern is great for contrasting colors and variegated skeins.

Although the pattern is given for one size, we can adjust the height by adding more repeats once the increases are done or by adding more rounds to the brim.

The hat can be sized down to fit small / medium by changing to sport weight yarn and 5 mm hook.
